Infinity Academy ("we", "us") provides online one-on-one tutoring in programming, math, and AI. This policy explains what information we collect from students and their parents or guardians, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to inf.academy, our learning platform at portal.inf.academy, and the class reminders we send by email and text message.
Information we collect
- Account information. Student name, username, time zone, course enrollment, coursework, and class schedule.
- Contact information. Parent or guardian name, email address, and — if you choose to sign up for text reminders — mobile phone numbers and an optional label for each number (for example "Mom" or "Dad").
- Messaging consent records. When you sign up for text reminders, we record the phone numbers you submitted, the exact consent text you agreed to, and the date and time of your submission.
- Technical information. Standard server logs from our website and learning platform.
How we use this information
- To schedule and deliver tutoring sessions and to keep a record of each student's progress.
- To send class reminders by email and, where you have opted in, by text message.
- To contact you about scheduling, billing, and other matters related to your enrollment.
- To keep our services secure and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This includes phone numbers and all text messaging consent information (opt-in data), which is never shared with or sold to any third party for marketing purposes.
Phone numbers and consent records are used only to send the class reminders you asked for. We share them with our messaging provider, Twilio, solely so that those messages can be delivered to your carrier. Messages you send to us are handled the same way: we use them only to answer your question about your child's classes. Text reminders are sent only to numbers submitted through our text reminder sign-up form, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any message. Who else sees your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that operate our services on our behalf — our messaging provider (Twilio), our email provider, and our hosting provider — and only to the extent needed to run those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Students under 18
Our students are often minors. Accounts are set up by a parent or guardian, and only a parent or guardian may submit contact information, including phone numbers for text reminders. We collect from students only the information needed to teach them: their name, coursework, and class schedule. We do not send marketing messages to students.
How long we keep information
We keep account and coursework information for as long as the student is enrolled and for a reasonable period afterward. Text messaging consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as required for compliance purposes, even after a number is removed from the reminder list.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text reminder to stop receiving text messages on that number.
- Ask us to remove a phone number or email address from the reminder list at any time.
- Ask us what information we hold about you or your child, or ask us to correct or delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting text reminders will be communicated to enrolled families directly.
